About the speakers:
Dipl.-Ing. Axel Koschany, architect BDA
Axel Koschany studied architecture at the TH Darmstadt. After completing his studies, he worked in Delft for a few years before joining Wolfgang Zimmer as a partner in his father's architectural office in Essen in 1995. In 1998 he was appointed to the Association of German Architects. Since 2004 he has been in charge of international projects and collaborations. From 2006 to 2012 he was partner and general manager of KZA Middle East, Dubai and in 2006 one of the founding members of the “International Markets” working group in the BDA. Axel Koschany has been a partner in the newly founded KZP Koschany since 2010
+ Zimmer project development. Housing construction and urban district concepts are two of the focal points of the internationally operating office. Axel Koschany is the leading partner in the development of serial-modular concepts through his office. Lectures, moderation of lectures and publications in specialist books and journals have also been part of Axel Koschany's portfolio for many years. The architectural office Koschany + Zimmer was founded in 1959. With its now almost 80-strong team, it is in the second generation in Essen, the heart of the Ruhr metropolitan region,
