Know-how session - via zoom

Details

Since its foundation in 1993 MVRDV architects have devoted themselves to the densified city, arguing that a denser city has the potential to offer more services, more interaction, more social diversity and more sustainability than urban sprawl. The practice believes in the 3D city that combines high density with nature, suburban lifestyles and high life quality for the people, a merger of the good sides of Hong Kong density with the good sides of the social fabric of an Italian mountain village. To combine these paradoxes the practice uses research, parametric scripting and principles of new mobility.

Saving the planet does not stop in Corona times, but how to make the dense city a safe and sound place? Do we need new urbanism or do we need a vaccine, both probably. Since a decade a new economic reality is emerging in our cities which brings exciting urban solutions.
